We've Gone Waterless!

Lili and Cata is joining the revolution of waterless manis and pedis. The typical nail treatment that entails soaking your hands and feet in water has demonstrated to significantly increase your chances of contracting foreign infections that include bacteria, fungi and warts. Most nail salons do not have or take the time to disinfect their tubs nor wait 10 minutes between clients. By removing water from the equation, we are also removing the risk of these nasty infections.

Aside from bacterial infections, water makes the nails expand.  This is why hours after getting your nails done, as the polish dries and your nails shrink back to their normal size, the polish starts peeling and chipping. With waterless services, you will definitely see the lifespan of your manis and pedis last longer. You’ll wish you would have known this years ago. You’re welcome ;-)

To top it all off, by forgoing soaking hands and feet during manicures and pedicures, 12 to 15 gallons of water are saved per service! Water takes a lot of energy, time and money to filter and clean so that it’s drinkable. At Lili and Cata we try to be as environmentally conscious as possible because we understand that we are not the last ones to inhabit this planet.

Waterless treatments do not mean that we need to sacrifice the pleasure and indulgence of a mani or pedi. On the contrary, we have enhanced our treatments to make up for soaking tubs. We begin all our manis and pedis with a refreshing antibacterial spray containing essential oils including lemongrass and peppermint oils to naturally disinfect. We then use warm towels to clean and prep your hands and feet. Then you’re ready to experience a waterless service.

The only thing missing from our waterless services? Health hazards and the guilt of wasting water. Visit us and we promise you won’t want to go back to the traditional way of soaking. If you’ve never experienced this hip new service, you’re in for a luxurious treat!
