Lilly & Jorge Rojas, Founders

BUILT ON FAMILY

Grown with Love

Lili and Cata came to fruition because co-founder Lilly Rojas always thought that getting a mani and pedi is one of the very few times of the week where you should be able to relax and enjoy some well deserved “you time.” In her experience, however, she found that most New York City salons were geared toward fulfilling a task rather than a place to unwind. She thought, what better way to mellow out if you can socialize with your friends or family over a glass of wine or a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and be able to pamper yourself under the same roof.

Lilly always questioned the industry’s use of highly toxic formulas, their long-term effects on the staff breathing them in, and the workplace conditions of many of the technicians. As a Christine Valmy graduate and a NY State Licensed Nail Specialist herself, she knew there were healthier and cleaner solutions available for the hardworking Nail Techs breathing in the products. With the assistance of her husband Jorge Rojas (co-founder), she worked to build Lili and Cata, a place that tackles these issues while also working-in some fun!
